Saturdays are made for adventures! We’re gearing up for another round of Winter weather here starting later tonight, so today was the perfect day for a mini-trip to Leonardville- home of Nelson’s Landing. The drive from Manhattan to the small town is pretty quick, just about 25 minutes, but it is definitely lovely and peaceful. It was so great to catch up with two great friends as we drove through the Kansas countryside.
A friend recently asked me “What’s there to do in Manhattan??” This sent my mind RACING, there are so many things that I love about living in a busy, college town like Manhattan, Kansas! I’ve lived in MHK for almost … Continue reading
One of my biggest fears is becoming stagnant. Not moving forward or pursuing anything and settling for a life that is not what I desire. To combat this fear, I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about ideas about life and everything that I want to see, hear, eat, do and explore lately. I’m thinking it is time to share my running life bucket list with the world! I’ve got a mix of local, short term list goals and a healthy dose of more long term planning dreams. I’m a big fan of Lara Casey’s downloads on her website. This photo of her’s is serving as the perfect inspiration to chase my dreams!
Happy Sunday y’all, let’s pick up where we left off!
After leaving Nashville, we took off for the Gatlinburg/Sevierville/Pigeon Forge, Tennessee area. We rented a cabin on top of a mountain that happened to be about equal distance to all of these cities which meant for easy exploring access to a variety of places. With a few days of busy travel behind us, I was looking forward to lots of book and magazine reading time!
Well hello there, good morning!
I’m writing from a very lovely and snowy Manhattan this morning! By the looks of things it seems like we got about four inches overnight, I’m totally okay with this. If it is going to be cold, I better get some snow out of the deal! 🙂 I sat down at my computer many nights this week to pen a new post, but I frequently found that my comfy bed pillows were calling my name, whoops!
A few weeks ago, my family and I set out on our first road trip together in a very long time. Usually when we travel we head to the airport to catch a flight, so I was really excited about this driving trip to explore a bit more of America as we traveled to multiple destinations. When I travel I am all about hitting the must-have sights to see, but I also love to hit off the beaten path finds or foodie delights.
We hit the road from my parent’s house early in the morning to head to our overnight pit stop, St. Louis! My travel bucket list included the Gateway Arch that sits on the banks of the Mississippi River. Continue reading
