A few weeks ago, I had a chance to visit the Butterfly House at Faust Park in Chesterfield, MO. With a job that gives me the opportunity to travel to many different places, I always make sure to check out one local attraction, restaurant or store find when I have moments of down time. This time, the park just happened to be right by my hotel and was calling my name! The Butterfly House has been on my “must visit” list for awhile, but this is the first time I’ve had a chance to get there as the hours are somewhat limited. A branch of the Missouri Botanical Gardens, this destination is a beautiful example of nature that left me completely in awe. It was a perfect 75 degree and sunny Sunday. You could definitely tell this, as the park was full of people enjoying the day. Here you’ll also find several other attractions to see, it was such a treat to be able to walk around, stretch my legs and explore!
These old buildings are part of the Historic Village at Faust Park that you can walk around and check out.
Can we please talk about how much I’m obsessed with the vegetation and flowers?!? Hello, beautifuls!
Here’s something I learned on this trip…butterflies are hard to take pictures of! With over a thousand butterflies in greenhouse, I saw a wide variety, but these were some of my favorites. I especially love the coral one on the heart shaped elephant ear!
I had such a great time venturing around the grounds and center, I’d love to go back when I have more time. I highly recommend this as a stop for any nature lover. Next stop on my St. Louis County bucket list? The main Botanical Garden! Can’t wait!
