{spring in my step: part 1}

hello, friends!

On this cheerful first day of May, I’m writing from a bustling Starbucks in St. Louis, Missouri. It has been an awesome week in the city traveling around meeting some pretty great people! I have only been to St. Louis a few times before, so I really enjoy that my job takes me to all sorts of places in the area. Needless to say, my GPS and I have gotten into a few arguments this week…yes I know I missed my turn, I don’t need it to tell me “recalculating” anymore! 🙂

Sunday afternoon I was on a mission to check off one task on my “things my friends told me to to in STL” list, so Ted Drewes it was. Oh man, this place does not disappoint. Totally worth a few minutes line, easy to see how they’ve stayed in business since 1929!

Anywho, back to the post! Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on adding Spring pieces to my Kitchen stock. I have a total problem with what I like to call “Kitchen Hoarding”. Napkins, plates, serving trays, dishes…you name it, I love it. My collection has already turned into filling half a wall in my storage room. I think my Mom definitely had an influence on this one. 🙂 On a recent trip to KC, I picked up a few fun pieces to bring home. I am all about finding inspiration in color this season, especially greens and yellows. In part 2 of this {spring in my step} series, I’ll be posting some of my inspirations I’ve collected from around the web, stay tuned!

Here some of my favorite things for this Spring and Summer!

These super fun and bright lemon measuring cups came from Sur la table. Good news, they’re still in stock and can be found here. Sur la table is a great place to find lots of practical, but unique pieces for a reasonable price. I love that these cups are a part of a larger lemon collection.

I picked up this lemon kitchen towel at Sur la table as well, happy happy happy! You can find it on their website here. Moments after walking into a Williams-Sonoma, I discovered these white with gold accent salt & pepper shakers. Have a mentioned that I’m on a gold kick too? I snagged them up on a super great sale, so they aren’t online anymore, but you can find some alternatives here.

 Okay, I am OBSESSED with Anthropologie’s latte bowls. I mean, the small ones are $2.50 a piece in store, how can you not fall in love!?! So many bright colors to chose from. Here you can find a similar set.

My last find, but not least {hopefully :)}, I’m all ready to use my HomeGoods two-tiered stand for entertaining!

Isn’t Spring just the best time for some home updating!? I’m looking forward to sharing my online inspirations with you this weekend! What is your favorite item to decorate with or style in the Spring? I’d love to hear!

best, courtney
