Hello, friends! Today my mom, myself and another mother-daughter pair set out on a mini-adventure just about an hour west to Salina for a day of shopping, laughter and good eats. I love days like this, nothing but catching up and searching for treasures! Our first stop was an antiques and crafts fair that had TONS of cool stuff to offer. We walked and browsed for a bit, but definitely spent the most time at the Vintage Gardens booth. This company is based out of Clay Center and had TONS of awesome stuff. I checked everything out, and instantaneous fell in love with an awesome trunk.
I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for a new blanket and book trunk, so I was super excited to find this gem. Being the over-analyzer that I am, I pondered on the purchase, but realized that Duh! I would regret not buying it big time so I scooped it up before leaving 🙂
We gathered up all of our finds and headed onto the next stop: Downtown Salina. First up on the shopping list? Rebecca Jane’s! Okay, this place is seriously cool. Inside you’ll find a collaboration of various dealers and booths that all have something unique to offer. There’s even a craft and art studio in the back where they host parties. Definitely a must see when in the area.
We stopped by a few more shops, and by that point were officially ready to take a break for lunch! We had heard a lot of awesome reviews about Blue Skye Brewery and Eats on Santa Fe, so we decided to check it out.
What a wonderful day it was! I am so thankful for quality time spent with my Mom and friends, definitely a happy Saturday. I’m looking forward to our next day-trip together in just a few weeks!
